WA dairy producers took home a suite of accolades at the 2021 Perth Royal Food Awards last week.
Milks, cheeses, yoghurts and other products hand-crafted in WA were among those crowned winners of the annual awards, hosted by the Royal Agricultural Society of WA.
From the Great Southern to the South West and Perth regions, dairy producers Statewide were well represented among the winning entries.
Northcliffe’s Bannister Downs took home three trophies, winning the champion unflavoured milk gong for its Dairy Fresh Milk, champion flavoured milk for its Dairy Choc Cherry Delite, and champion cream for its Dairy Fresh Cream.
Perth’s The Butter People took home the champion butter trophy for its salted butter and Gingin’s Local Goat won the champion buffalo, camel, goat or sheep milk product category with its camembert.
Ha Ve Harvey Cheese, Margaret River Dairy Company and Denmark’s Dellendale Creamery, as well as Perth producers Borrello Cheese, La Delizia Latticini, European Foods also took home medals.
