Solider On Reaffirms Dr Gina Rinehart AO as the Honorary Guardian of Veterans

This evening, Friday, 14th of March, a function was organised by Soldier On to gather veterans together, resplendent in their medals, with Dr Gina Rinehart AO, for her reaffirmation as the Honorary Guardian of Veterans.

This official position, bestowed upon Dr Gina Rinehart AO in 2023, recognises her long standing and ongoing support for those who have served.

Mr Paul Singer CVO, CEO of Soldier On stated “it is the ongoing mission of Soldier On to assist current and former Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel with, amongst other things, the transition from military to civilian employment, further skills development, and other ongoing support.”

Paul Singer CVO reiterated during the ceremony, “Soldier On is delighted and grateful to have the ongoing support of such a great Australian as Mrs Rinehart. Someone who supports our veterans not only in words, but by her actions too. We are very appreciative of the ongoing opportunities Hancock Prospecting, Roy Hill, and Atlas have provided towards employing our veterans.”

After the ceremony, Dr Gina Rinehart AO, asked the veterans to join her in a discussion about Australia’s defence. There was unanimous agreement that the best way to defend Australia was to be prepared and strong. Discussion continued in detail regarding the current inadequacies of Australia’s defence. Mrs Rinehart stated that the NATO members had been encouraged to increase their defence spending to 5 percent of GDP.

At the end of the evening, Mrs Rinehart thanked the veterans for their service, and said “we are very fortunate to have patriotic veterans at the Hancock companies.“
