Winners of the prestigious 2024 Resourcing Tomorrow Outstanding Achievement Awards have been announced at a spectacular finale of Europe’s premier mining event held at the London Guildhall.
More than 400 of mining’s crème de la crème gathered at the stunning hall in what was a fitting tribute to a challenging but ultimately positive year for the industry.
Resourcing Tomorrow’s unique global awards recognise individuals, companies and initiatives judged by the event’s large team of international experts as outstanding in a range of key categories. This year the winners rose above more than 500 nominations across the eight categories.

Our 2024 Mining Leader of the Year Award, sponsored by Stratum: Marna Cloete, President of Ivanhoe Mines.
This year’s Mining Deal of the Year, sponsored by Pinsent Masons, recognised Gold Fields for its US$2.16 billion acquisition of Osisko Mining and its Windfall gold project in Canada.
An award that underscores Resourcing Tomorrow’s aim to elevate mining sustainability and transformation themes, the Best ESG Initiative by a Mining Company, sponsored by Onyen, went to IMPACT Silver Corp for its Mexico green-powered zinc mine blueprint.
In the Best ESG Industry Initiative Award category, sponsored by Barrick, two inspiring nominees in a strong field demonstrating significant industry-wide ESG progress, shared the honour. InvestBank, a committed global ESG leader and participant in the UN Global Compact, and Nisga’a Lisims Government, a groundbreaking Nations Royalty partnership with Frank Giustra, were the joint winners.
The Exploration Discovery Award, sponsored by TM Partners, was awarded to Cornish Tin for drilling results pointing to new life for a historically important UK tin mining district.
Gina Rinehart, AO accepted the highly-celebrated Resourcing Tomorrow Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by SLR Consulting, taking the stage in person to receive the recognition and acclaim of hundreds of her peers.
Sponsored by Beacon Events, the winner of the Most Improved Mining Jurisdiction of the Year was the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The award, recognising remarkable progress made in the Kingdom in the 12 months towards its ambitious Saudi Vision 2030 goals, was formally accepted by a delegation representing the country’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.
