Telethon weekend is an incredibly special event for West Australian’s, with our people making another significant contribution to support children’s medical research and support services.
With the support of our Executive Chairman, Mrs Gina Rinehart AO, staff at Hancock Prospecting, Roy Hill, Atlas Iron, and HanRoy donated another $2.24 million to take our total over the past four years to just under $12 million.
That effort contributed to a new record amount for Telethon with $83.2 million raised!
Our companies were proudly represented at the cheque presentation by Andrew Howells (Hancock Prospecting), Ellen Peters (Roy Hill), Stewart O’Brien (Atlas Iron), and Casey Diekmann (HanRoy) who are all veterans working in our businesses.
In addition, swimming star Kyle Chalmers, and other Olympians who catapulted Australia to a record medal tally in Paris were also on hand to celebrate the spirit of giving.
This year our cheque took an exciting journey from France to the Pilbara, then Perth and our agricultural stations, before landing at Perth Arena where Fat Cat was looking resplendent in his very own custom Driza-Bone jacket, as well as everyone enjoying Bannister Downs flavoured milk, Kidman pies, and 2GR Wagyu products!
