It is with great pleasure that Hancock Prospecting (“HPPL”) confirms the acquisition of “Warrabah Station”.
Warrabah Station is located in New England, west of Armidale in New South Wales, and covers an area of 3,900 hectares.
Warrabah Station is a close neighbour to HPPL’s Sundown Valley property and will be used to grow the 2GR Wagyu herd and brand. Warrabah Station will allow increased capacity to background Wagyu cattle that will then be finished and processed in Australia, before being delivered into many local and overseas markets, including the Nobu restaurants in Australia and overseas. HPPL’s current Wagyu herd is approximately 23,000 head across multiple properties and is forecast to continue to expand.
This acquisition continues HPPL’s and its Chairman Mrs Gina Rinehart’s commitment to invest in regional Australia and grow its agricultural production capabilities, as well as providing opportunities for local suppliers and employment. Mrs. Rinehart founded Australia’s National Agriculture and Related Industries Day, November 21 st, which looks to celebrate an industry which is so important to Australia, built with many remarkable Australians in remote and often in difficult outback conditions and which contributes to all of us.
