Mrs. Gina Rinehart has been a long term private supporter of Parkerville Children and Youth Care, which aims to raise funds and fight the cause of child abuse and provide hope to vulnerable children in West Australia.
Continuing with this, Hancock Prospecting and the Georgina Hope Foundation extended their support as the major sponsors of Parkerville’s annual lunch with the theme ‘Child Abuse is no Laughing Matter;’ the largest fundraising event in their calendar. The lunch was held at the Crown ballroom in Perth on the 21st of October.
The event was a wonderful success, raising much needed funds for a very worthy cause. Mrs. Rinehart and the Hancock Prospecting Group are happy to be able to support such a worthy initiative and help the vulnerable youths in the West Australian community.
Parkervilles introduction of major sponsor – Mrs. Gina Rinehart
“We would like to very warmly welcome Gina Rinehart, our very special major sponsor of today’s lunch, and exec chairman of the Hancock Prospecting Group. Mrs. Rinehart has privately been a long term supporter of Parkerville Children and Youth Care, and we are thrilled to have her and her company group also as major sponsor of the Parkerville Children and Youth Care’s annual lunch.
Growing up on a remote outback station in our north west, Mrs. Rinehart is now one of the foremost figures in mining and related industries globally. After becoming Executive Chairman of the Hancock Prospecting Group in 1992, she has been responsible for the growth of the company group to get to the position it is in today. Something west Australians should be proud of. And it is after her decades of hard work in the mining industry which has made it possible for Mrs. Rinehart to be in a position to be able to support such worthwhile causes as ours in the community.
Mrs. Rinehart is a generous supporter and patron to many worthwhile causes, a true patriot, and is delighted to be able to support such important causes in West Australia both privately and through her various foundations.
On behalf of Parkerville, I would like to thank Mrs. Rinehart for her years of private support and more recently for the Hancock prospecting groups generous support, which will make the world of difference – thank you Gina.”
