Hancock Prospecting’s CEO Garry Korte has been recognised at the prestigious CEO Magazine Executive of the Year Awards in Sydney this evening.
Garry was Highly Commended in the CEO of the Year – $100million turnover category.
Garry was appointed CEO of Hancock Prospecting in June 2016 after first joining Hancock subsidiary Roy Hill as its CFO in 2012. Following the successful US$7.2 billion Roy Hill debt raising, the world’s largest debt capital raising for a greenfields mining project, in 2014 Garry received the CFO of the Year award. The 2014 event was especially memorable because Hancock’s Executive Chairman, Mrs Gina Rinehart, also won the top executive award at the same event, with team Hancock scooping the “double” on the night.
