Our local dairy partnership with Bannister Downs sees the construction of the new Creamery facility in Northcliffe well underway, with a busy programme to achieve completion in December 2017.
The site is pictured as the first ‘verticals’ are now in place, a significant milestone as it signifies all of the drawings and plans finally becoming ‘real’. Once completed, our Bannister Downs Creamery will be one of the only facilities in the world where visitors are invited to see robotic milking of cows on a voluntary system (the cows come in to be milked when they want to) as well as viewing of all processing, filling and dispatch steps through to the end production of premium dairy produce ready for market.
There is a long way to go, but we are well and truly underway. Bannister Downs is also awaiting the outcome of the results for the 2017 Australian Grand Dairy Awards where several of our product range was invited to compete for the most prestigious awards nationally. We find out if we have achieved the highest level of success when the announcements are made on February 9th.
