In response to the media release by Tony Windsor or on his behalf, dated 27 June 2016 titled “Gina’s Stormtroopers man Barnaby’s Battlements” (copy attached) I make the following comment.
“Mr Tony Windsor’s, or someone acting on his behalf, comments in relation to Mrs Rinehart, alleging Mrs Rinehart (or inferring any company associated with her) was flying in workers to assist the Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon Barnaby Joyce, are without an ounce of truth, and are denied.
It’s disappointing to see someone seeking parliamentary office make such claims which are false. Perhaps at best a sign of desperation, however even desperation shouldn’t excuse him from saying things without any foundation in truth when seeking public office.”
