Roy Hill wins Australian Defence Force Reserves Employer Support Award

Roy Hill and its Executive Chairman Mrs Gina Rinehart AO were acknowledged at the Australian Defence Force Reserves Employer Support Awards this week. Roy Hill won the private sector large company category for West Australia.

The event, held at the RAAFA Club, Air Force Memorial Estate, was hosted by Major General Douglas Laidlaw, AM, CSC. Other dignitaries in attendance included Brigadier Amanda Williamson – Commanding Officer 13 Brigade and Commodore Ivan Ingham AM – West Australia’s senior Defence representative for all matters of strategic significance.

Congratulations to Roy Hill, Mrs Rinehart, and all of our veterans employed across Roy Hill and the broader Hancock Prospecting companies.

About Roy Hill’s veterans employment program

Mrs Rinehart, who was named Honorary Guardian of Veterans by Solider On in 2023, has long been a strong advocate for serving military personnel, veterans, and their families. Several years ago, Hancock Prospecting launched a new recruitment campaign to create new pathways for veterans to be employed within its mining, agricultural, and energy businesses.

This program has been hugely successful, leading to higher levels of veterans employment across Hancock Prospecting companies, and especially at Roy Hill. Importantly, it has enabled Hancock, Roy, and Mrs Rinehart to acknowledge and recognise the service that our veterans have provided to our nation.
