Artistic swimming patron, Gina Rinehart AO, and on behalf of Hancock Prospecting sends a huge, warm Congratulations to our Artistic Swimmers Australia team for their efforts at the World Championships in Beijing.
They achieved their first-ever silver medal, this being in the technical competition held on Friday, April 5.
With a new team-best score of 229 points, building consistently on improvements from international championships in Japan and Doha, our Aussie artistic swimmers have achieved their best-ever score and done Australia proud.
Brian Miller, from Artistic Swimming Australia, said: “It’s very hard to put into words what you have empowered these young women to achieve, Mrs Rinehart! Your massive injection of funds and all of your other forms of support (morale boost, role model, Bannister Downs etc) has meant so much to the Australian national team, which has consistently improved each competition recently. I am speechless – really. This is amazing progress, and Mrs R you facilitated this through your devotion to the cause. Thank you for everything that you do to help these young women, it is remarkable .”
Huge Congratulations to all our hard working Aussie athletes who represent our country so outstandingly.
