The 2019 Hancock Prospecting Australian Short Course Championships began in Victoria today, where a host of Australia’s finest sprint swimmers will go head to head for national titles over 25 metres for the next three days, fresh from their world championships in South Korea and London.
The meet is held at Melbourne Sports Centres, with a mix of experienced campaigners and titleholders lining up against the next wave of Australian emerging stars of the pool.
While our Aussie superstars will be vying for the short course medals, there will also be a number of exhibition races taking place during finals, including men’s and women’s freestyle Skins races on Friday night, which will see swimmers dash for cash in an exciting elimination format.
Patron Gina Rinehart, along with the Hancock Prospecting Group, send their very best wishes to all competing at the short course championships – go Aussies!
